1. Этап мотивации (самоопределения) к учебной деятельности

- How are you today?

- Boys and girls. I have read a funny poem recently. Do you want to listen it?

- I like to travel

By plane and on foot,

To see new places,

It's really good.

2. Этап актуализации и пробного учебного действия

- I really like to travel too. And you?

- What do you think, why do people travel? This scheme will help you to answer the question.

- Very good! And where would you like to travel to?

- There are many different countries which are interesting to travel. But today I propose you to visit one of them the name of which you will know from the crossword. Are you ready to solve it ?

- Look at the board. The first word.

1. The capital of this country is Delhi [deli]. This is a country of elephants and tigers, of tea and coffee, of films and bright color.

- What country is this? (India)

- Ok! Right! Let's continue. The second word.

2. It is not a large country. It's situated in Europe. It's much smaller than France or German. It consists of four parts but English is the national language in all parts of the country.

- What country is this? (Great Britain)

- Very well. The next word.

3. This country lies in the middle of the North American continent. Its area is over 9 million square kilometers. The country consists of 50 states. Its national emblem is the bald eagle. The flag is called "The Stars and Stripes".

- What country is this? (America)

- You are absolutely right. Let's go to the forth country.

4. It's one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. Its capital is Rome. There are many ancient monuments there.

- What country is this? (Italy)

- Right. Let's continue.

5. It's a very large country. It's situated on two continents: Europe and Asia. The most visited sight of this country is the Red Square.

- What is this country? (Russia)

- Well done! Just one country is unknown now. Listen to me very attentively.

6. This country is situated in the southern hemisphere. When it's midnight in Great Britain, it's the noon in this country. Many people came to live there at the end of the 18th century. The symbol of this country is "kangaroo".

- What country is this? (Australia)

- Now you can name the topic of our lesson yourselves. What is the topic of our lesson?

- Would you like to visit Australia?

- Me too. But we need to know some information and facts about country to go there. Do you agree?

- Let's make up the plan. I'll help you. I will show you pictures and you will name what information we need about Australia. Ok?

- Ok. The first point of our plan is ready. Read, please.

2.- Very good. Soon you will know about it.

- And what will your question be?

4.- Ok. What does this picture mean?

- Let me to help you with formulating the question.

5.- Look at the next picture, please. What is it about?

- How can you make up the question?

6.- And the last picture. Put a question, please.

- Now, look. This is our plan to study the country which we would like to visit. How do you think, what can help us to answer all these questions?

- Yes, right. I think that a book is the best way to get some knowledge. Let ' s open it at page 286.

5. Этап реализации построенного проекта и решения исходной задачи.

- My friends, there are many proper names in the text which have difficult pronunciation. That's why I propose you to read them before we start to work with the text.

- What proper names didn't you listen before in Russian?

- If all proper names are clear for you I propose to start with our plan.

- And firstly look at the first point and find this information in the text.

6. Этап первичного закрепления с комментированием во внешней речи.

- Who found the answer for the first question? ( second , third etc .)

7. Этап самостоятельной работы с самопроверкой по эталону.

- You know, one American boy wanted very much to visit Australia. And after reading of the same text he made up some statements about this country. But, honestly, I'm not sure that all of them are correct. Can you read them and if he is mistaken write near "F" - false? If he is right, write near "T" - true. Ok?

- Are you ready? Look at the board, please. I have just read these statements too.

- Who has the same results? Put up your hands.

- Who has just one mistake?

- Who has two mistakes?

- Who has three and more mistakes?

8. Этап включения в систему знаний и повторения.

- Answer the question, please. Are we ready now to visit Australia?

- Do we know enough about Australia?

- What do we know?

- The scheme will help you.

- Who can summarize all information about Australia we have known today?

9. Этап рефлексии учебной деятельности на уроке.

- Thank you for your work today. You were really excellent students today. Let's remember what was the aim of our lesson?

- How did we take it?

- Put up your hands who can tell the general facts about Australia and ready for travelling there?

- But it's not enough. Next our lesson I propose to continue to talk about the climate and wildlife of Australia. Do you agree to continue?

- It means that you have to do something at home to continue our speaking about Australia. Open your pupil's mark book and write your homework. Look at the board. For satisfaction mark you have to tell about Australia according the plan which you will find in.

- Like I have already said you were very good. But who was the best today and worked for an excellent mark?

- And who worked well?

- And what about pupils who worked for satisfaction mark?
